Descending from an artistic family, Beguentch Gueldyev was born in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, where he began studying the piano at age of seven. He studied at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory with Professor Valery Kastelsky, one of the last students of the legendary Neinrich Neuhaus. In 1996 he completed a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance. In 1997 Mr. Gueldyev won First Prize at the Gerona International Competition "XX Century per a Piano" in Spain, and begun to work as a piano tutor in Moscow Central Music School.
In 2000 he was appointed to the position of piano professor at the Conservatoire de la Gendarmerie royale and at the Conservatoire de la Garde royale in Morocco. There he frequently appeared as a soloist with l'Orchestre symphonique royal and l'Orchestre Philarmonique du Maroc. His pupils have won numerous prizes in national and international competitions. A Montréal resident since 2012 Mr. Gueldyev currently works at l’École supérieure de ballet du Québec as a pianist-accompanist.
